Thanks to all parents and athletes on a great start to the season. There are a few reminders and bits of information that have arose:
1. Intermediate Team fencers should arrive on Sundays at 11:50 am in order to warm up so they can start training with the competitive team members sharply at 12 noon.
2. Please replace any chairs to where you found them in the school if you use one, and take all garbage to the bin or recycling bins. There should be no garbage left in the gym or in the school, and it should look as we found the premises.
3. We are planning on a parent to parent equipment sale on Sunday Sept 28 at 12 noon until 1 pm. If you have a piece of fencing gear that you have outgrown and wish to sell it to another fencer, then please launder it and price it. The sale is not by SFO (apart from vetting the condition to insure safety) and is a transaction between seller and purchaser. You set the price, you haggle and you sell/buy. There are two caveats: (1) SFO may not permit, due to condition issues, the sale of any one item; and (2) any gear left unclaimed at the end of the sale becomes property of the club (e.g., that is incentive to take it home).
